Cavex StabiSil features a 7-day dimensional stability with a variable setting time. It is elastic and tear resistant and produces excellent detail reproduction.
Cavex StabiSil is based on condensation curing elastomeric polysiloxane suitable for inlays, crown and bridges, partial and edentulous impressions utilizing the common impression techniques.
Cavex StabiSil impression material is composed of a kneadable white Putty with a very high consistency, a lower consistency green paste (Wash), and a red activator paste.
The activator contains a tin catalyst and is used in combination with the putty and the low consistency paste respectively, in order to produce the desirable putty-wash impression: either Single-step or Two-step technique.
Cavex StabiSil shows excellent hydrophilic properties, thus improving wettability and leading to better reproduction of subgingival areas. Pouring of the impressions can take place 30 minutes after the impression is removed from the mouth and all commercially available modeling stones can be used.
The impressions are dimensionally stable up to 7 days.
